The Reawakening Ritual

It was never gone.
It was waiting.

Oak does not forget what it has carried.
It holds memory in its grain—
quiet, patient, enduring.

Time does what it always does.
It softens. It settles. It fades what is not renewed.

Most would replace it.
Discard it. Begin again.

You don’t.

You return to it. Always.

A few measured drops along the grain—
and the stave answers.

Not all at once.
Not for show.

But in time… with certainty.

The oil draws inward.
The oak receives it.
And what once lived there rises again.

Deeper. Warmer. Truer than before.

This is not maintenance.
This is not repetition.

This is continuation.

What was chosen is not replaced.
What was carried is not lost.

It is restored.
It is remembered.

It is Reawakened.

Not all will reach that point.

But when the time comes—
it will be there.

Before it was cut…it held something. Not briefly. Not lightly. Years. What you’re looking at did not begin as décor. It began in fire, oak, pressure, and time.
